This 1963 Chevrolet Corvette is a Riverside Red split-window coupe that was produced in May 1963, and power is provided by a numbers-matching and fuel-injected 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Features include concealed headlights, spinner-style wheel covers, black upholstery, powered windows, and a Delco AM/FM radio. Recently acquired by the selling dealer, this split-window C2 is now offered with Al Grenning CCAS Certificates and a clean California title.
The fiberglass body was finished in Riverside Red (923A) from the factory, and the condition of the paintwork is shown up close in the gallery below. Features include a split rear window along with a left-side mirror, concealed headlights, faux hood vents, chrome bumperettes, and dual exhaust tips that exit through the rear valance.
This example is equipped with 15″ steel wheels wearing wheel covers and vintage-look whitewall tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring in the rear.
The cabin is upholstered in standard black vinyl with a color-coordinated dashboard, door panels, and carpets. An analog clock and a vertically mounted Delco AM/FM radio are fitted in the center console, and this example is equipped with powered windows. A delivery-style instruction tag is present on the radio tuning knob.
The black three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, battery charge, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 98 miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The 327ci V8 is equipped with Rochester mechanical fuel injection and was factory rated at 360 horsepower. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission.
The engine stamping shown above includes the digits 114552, which match the vehicle’s serial number. Additionally, the RF suffix on the same pad stamping corresponds with the L84 327ci engine for manual-transmission applications. A photo in the gallery displays part number 7017375 on the Rochester fuel injection unit.
Additional photos in the gallery illustrate the condition of the underside and mechanical components.
Materials include affirmation certifications for the engine pad and trim tag from NCRS judge Al Grenning.
