This Bricklin SV-1 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1976 Bricklin SV-1 is a non-running project that is said to have remained off the road since 1978 when it was last driven by its current owner. The car is finished in Safety Suntan over brown upholstery and has a 351ci Windsor V8 that is paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Gullwing doors and 15″ Turbo Mag wheels are also equipped. This SV-1 project is now offered on dealer consignment in California at no reserve with an Ohio title.
The SV-1 was constructed of acrylic resin body panels attached to a fiberglass substrate and had an integrated rollover structure. This example is finished in Safety Suntan and equipped with gullwing doors, a body-color front bumper, and a black rear bumper and lower bodywork.
Turbo Mag 15″ aluminum wheels wear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Front disc and rear drum brakes are equipped.
The cabin houses high-back bucket seats upholstered in brown with textured inserts along with a color-coordinated dashboard and two-tone door panels.
Instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as auxiliary gauges housed above the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 76 miles.
The 351ci Windsor V8 was rated at 175 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ford FMX three-speed automatic transmission. The car last ran in 1978, per the selling dealer.
The car has not passed a California emissions test.
