This 1988 Mercedes-Benz 560SL is finished in Signal Red over beige leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, a black soft top, fog lights, chrome-plated 15″ wheels, automatic climate control, cruise control, an alarm system, and a Becker Grand Prix AM/FM/cassette stereo. The car spent much of its life in California and was acquired by the selling dealer in 2022 from its long-term previous owner. This R107 shows 47k miles and is now offered with a hardtop stand, manufacturer’s literature, a clean Carfax report, and a clean California title.
The car is finished in Signal Red with white pinstripes and features a color-matched removable hardtop and a black convertible top. Additional features include quad headlights, fog lights, a power-retractable antenna, and chrome-accented bumpers and trim.
Chrome-plated 15″ wheels are wrapped in 205/65 Falken Ziex ZE329 tires. The car was factory equipped with power steering, a fully independent suspension, and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin features two bucket seats upholstered in beige leather along with matching door panels and carpeting. The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including a 170-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer with an inset analog clock, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel economy, and fuel level. An ambient thermometer is mounted in the center stack, and the six-digit odometer shows 47k miles.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission.
