This 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition was first delivered to Sunrise Ford in Fontana, California, and is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. One of 343 Heritage Edition examples produced for the model year, the car is finished in Heritage Blue and Epic Orange over Ebony leather. Features include push-button ignition, a McIntosh sound system, air conditioning, a Cool Tech transaxle cooler, grey-painted Brembo brake calipers, and BBS forged aluminum wheels. This one-owner Heritage Edition GT was offered by the selling dealer on BaT in July 2019 and is now offered again on dealership consignment in California with a GT production certificate, manufacturer’s literature, a car cover, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title.

4k-Mile 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition

The GT took inspiration from the GT40 race cars of the 1960s and features an extruded aluminum space frame, roll-bonded floors, and aluminum body panels that were shaped using a superplastic forming process. The Heritage Edition included a Gulf-inspired Heritage Blue and Epic Orange livery similar to that worn by the 1968 and 1969 Le Mans-winning GT40s. Aerodynamic elements include a front splitter, an integrated rear spoiler, and a rear diffuser. The car is fitted with splash guards at the rear of the wheel openings, and scrapes are visible on the underside of the front splitter.

The 18″ and 19″ BBS forged aluminum wheels wear Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position tires up front and Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Scuderia rubber out back measuring 265/40 and 345/35, respectively. The factory suspension features independent double wishbones at each corner, and braking is handled by grey-painted Brembo calipers over cross-drilled rotors at all four corners.

The cabin is trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard and rubber mats covering bare aluminum floors. Sparco-designed, manually adjusted bucket seats feature carbon-fiber shells and GT40-inspired ventilation grommets. The extruded aluminum center console houses HVAC controls and covers the fuel tank. Additional equipment includes push-button ignition, remote keyless entry, air conditioning, an adjustable steering column, a factory-optional McIntosh CD stereo with a subwoofer, and power windows and door locks.

4k-Mile 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition

The leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of a group of toggle switches and GT40-inspired instrumentation including a central tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, an offset 220-mph speedometer, and gauges for engine temperature, oil pressure, voltage, boost pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates just under 4k miles.

The all-aluminum 5.4L quad-cam V8 features a Lysholm screw-type supercharger, a water-to-air intercooler, and a dry-sump lubrication system. Output was factory rated at 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque. The signature of Ford GT designer Camilo Pardo and GT40 pilots Mario Andretti and Dan Gurney can be seen on the chassis member under the rear clamshell.

4k-Mile 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. The car features a Cool Tech transaxle cooler, and additional underside photos are presented in the gallery below.
